七夕节,首先是乞巧节。
传说中,织女在天上的职责是编织云彩。既然她是天上的纺娘,自然要有超于凡间的纺织技艺,她所织出的,是美丽的云霞。
一次织女下凡,结识了勤劳朴实的牛郎,二人结为夫妻,育有一儿一女。但天帝发现织女私自与凡人成亲,便将她押解回天庭。牛郎在老牛的神力帮助下,用扁担挑起一儿一女就上天追寻织女,就在二人即将相会的时候,王母娘娘用金钗在他们两人之间划出一条银河,让牛郎织女遥遥相望、不可渡河。但是喜鹊被他们的爱情所打动,每到七月初七的夜晚,便以成千上万的雀身搭起一座鹊桥,让牛郎和织女得以一年一度相会一次。
在七夕之夜,因为民间故事称织女能和牛郎相会,这是一个属于她的特殊节庆,她可以让人间一窥仙踪、可以把好心情洒落凡尘,所以女孩子们便在这个夜晚拜求织女,希望她能把自己作为天庭纺娘的心灵手巧也分落给凡人一些。七夕节,由此开启了“乞巧”的主题。

终日不成章,泣涕零如雨;
河汉清且浅,相去复几许!
盈盈一水间,脉脉不得语。
传说讲,牛郎父母早亡,被哥嫂赶出家门,只与一头老牛为生。老牛有灵性,促成了他和下凡织女之间的情缘,牛郎织女遂结成恩爱夫妻,育有一儿一女。但天庭发现了私自下界与凡人成婚的织女,将她押解回上天,牛郎在老牛的帮助下用扁担挑着一儿一女追赶织女。就当夫妻二人将要会合的时候,王母娘娘用金钗在他们两人之间划出一道银河,让他们隔河相望而无法相亲。最后,是喜鹊有感于牛郎织女的爱情,每年七月初七,成千上万的喜鹊在银河上搭起一座鹊桥,牛郎织女才能一年一度相会一次。这就是“金风玉露一相逢,便胜却人间无数。”
我们看故事的人,总是愤恨为何天庭要拆散一对恩爱夫妻,总是不满为何王母娘娘要设置障碍。其实,这样的故事,正是以形象化的演绎,传递着真实化的道理,那就是:
人生永远存在着情欲和法理之间的对立冲突,情与理,是相生相伴的一对矛盾。
天条规定仙人与凡人不能结合,这代表的是法理;
织女与牛郎就是要两情相依,这代表的是情欲;
押解织女回天庭,这象征着法理的执行;
银河划下的距离,这象征着人世间总有逾越不了的距离、现实中总会存在的障碍;
而一年一度得以相会一次,就是在情与理之间留存的弹性空间。
所以探讨天人和凡人之间能不能结合、追问牛郎和织女能不能在一起,这些并不重要。重要的是,任何时代、任何社会、任何人,都要不得不去面对情与理之间该如何抉择、如何平衡的考验。如果偏重情欲多了,就必然要交付法理的代价;如果背负法理多了,又必然要偿付情欲的丧失。
对于社会规律也是这样。有时候情欲泛滥,就宣扬“存天理,灭人欲”;有时候法理沉重,就开始倡导解放人性、肯定人情,比如欧洲文艺复兴的发起、中国《牡丹亭》的产生,等等。
法理和情欲也可以不是决然对立的,而是互相平衡的关系。比如这个民间故事里,王母娘娘连银河都能造就,难道打散一群喜鹊做不到吗?当然不可能。但是她和天庭偏偏就睁一只眼、闭一只眼允许了鹊桥的存在,让牛郎织女有一个宣泄情感的通道,让世人也有一个圆满喜剧的寄托。这就是情与理之间重叠馄饨的一个合理空间。
闺中女孩儿们遥想着牛郎织女的挣扎与幸福,也在七夕的星空下许愿,希望为自己求得一份好姻缘。所以,与上元节的“情人会”不一样,七夕节只是“情人盼”,是没有约会、没有情郎、没有爱情的空想阶段。
其实,女孩子们的乞求许愿,与其说她们在求一段爱情,不如说她们是在求一个良人,更不如说她们是在求一个人生。
这就涉及到古人的生活方式与婚姻观念:
在古人看来,女儿在家是客,是暂居于娘家,只有当她出嫁、嫁到了终身仰仗的夫家、嫁往了托付整个大半生的外姓家庭里,那才算是“有家”。所以:女有夫,就叫“有家”;相对应的,男有妻,叫做“有室”;男女成婚,双方共同组成了“家室”。
因此,女子出嫁,叫“归来”,是回归到了命中注定、三世有缘的屋檐下。古语称女孩嫁人,就叫“之子于归”。
在《诗经》里的一首贺新娘曲《桃夭》,是为踏出闺门的新娘子送上的一首贺歌,里面就唱:
“桃之夭夭,灼灼其华。

祝枝山写联骂财主
祝枝山是明代书画家。有一年除夕,一个姓钱的财主请祝枝山写春联。祝枝山想;这个钱财主平日搜刮乡里,欺压百姓,今日既然找上门来何不借机奚落他一番?于是,吩咐书童在钱财主的大门两旁贴好纸张,挥笔写下了这样一副对联:
明日逢春好不晦气;
来年倒运少有余财。
过往的人们看到这副对联,都这样念道:
明日逢春,好不晦气;
来年倒运,少有余财。
钱财主听了气急败坏;知道是祝枝山故意辱骂他,于是到县衙告状,说祝枝山用对联辱骂良民,要求老爷为他作主处置。另外,钱财主还暗中给县老爷送了些金银财物。当下,县令便派人传来祝枝山,质问道;"祝先生,你为何用对联辱骂钱老板?"
祝枝山笑着回答说:"大人差矣!我是读书人,无权无势,岂敢用对联骂人?学生写的全是吉庆之词嘛!"于是,拿出对联当场念给众人听:
明日逢春好,不晦气;
