Drunk

在寒冷多风的冬日里，植物园里一只行动迟缓的蜗牛，正一步步慢慢地爬上苹果树。附近有树上的麻雀和松鼠很好奇地围了过来，着实嘲笑了它一番。
其中一只麻雀飞过去对它说：“嘿，傻家伙，你不知道这树上已经没有苹果了吗？干嘛还拼命往上爬？”
蜗牛并没有停下它的步伐，边爬边说：“等我到了之后就会有的。”
背上的篓子
“你应该明白人的一生，既不如人们想像的那么好，也没有我们想像的那么坏。”
有位中年人觉得自己的日子过得非常沉重，生活压力太大，想要寻求解脱的方法，因此去向一位禅师求教。禅师给了他一个篓子要他背在肩上，指着前方一条坎坷的道路说：“每当你向前走一步，就弯下腰来捡一颗石子放到篓子里，然后看看会有什么感受。”
中年人就照着禅师的指示去做，他背上的篓子装满石头后，禅师问他这一路走来有什么感受。他回答说：“感到越走越沉重。”禅师于是说：“每一个人来到这个世上时，都背负着一个空篓子。我们每往前走一步就会从这个世界上捡一样东西放进去，因此才会有越来越累的感慨。”中年人又问：“那么有什么方法可以减轻人生的重负呢？”禅师反问他说：“你是否愿意将名声、财富、家庭、事业、朋友拿出来舍弃呢？”那人答不上来。禅师又说：“每个人的篓子里所装的，都是自己从这个世上寻求来的东西，一旦拥有它，就对它负有责任。”
袋鼠与笼子
有一天动物园的管理员们发现袋鼠从笼子里跑出来了，于是开会讨论，一致认为是笼子的高度过低。所以他们决定将笼子的高度由原来的十公尺加高到二十公尺。结果第二天他们发现袋鼠还是跑到外来，所以他们又决定再将高度加高到三十公尺。
没想到隔天居然又看到袋鼠全跑到外面，于是管理员们大为紧张，决定一不做二不休，将笼子的高度加高到一百公尺。
一天长颈鹿和几只袋鼠们在闲聊，「你们看，这些人会不会再继续加高你们的笼子？」长颈鹿问。
"很难说。"袋鼠说："如果他们再继续忘记关门的话！"
【心得】事有「本末」、「轻重」、「缓急」，关门是本，加高笼子是末，舍本而逐末，当然就不得要领了。管理是什么？管理是抓事情的「本末」、「轻重」、「缓急」。
扁鹊的医术
魏文王问名医扁鹊说："你们家兄弟三人，都精于医术，到底哪一位最好呢？"
扁鹊答说："长兄最好，中兄次之，我最差。"
文王再问："那么为什么你最出名呢？"
扁鹊答说："我长兄治病，是治病于病情发作之前。由于一般人不知道他事先能铲除病因，所以他的名气无法传出去，只有我们家的人才知道。我中兄治病，是治病于病情初起之时。一般人以为他只能治轻微的小病，所以他的名气只及于本乡里。而我扁鹊治病，是治病于病情严重之时。一般人都看到我在经脉上穿针管来放血、在皮肤上敷药等大手术，所以以为我的医术高明，名气因此响遍全国。"
文王说："你说得好极了。"
【心得】事后控制不如事中控制，事中控制不如事前控制，可惜大多数的事业经营者均未能体认到这一点，等到错误的决策造成了重大的损失才寻求弥补，有时是亡羊补牢，为时已晚。
单纯的喜悦
有一个小女孩每天都从家里走路去上学。一天早上天气不太好，云层渐渐变厚，到了下午时风吹得更急，不久开始有闪电、打雷、下大雨。小女孩的妈妈很担心，她担心小女孩会被打雷吓著，甚至被雷打到。雷雨下得愈来愈大，闪电像一把锐利的剑刺破天空，小女孩的妈妈赶紧开著她的车，沿著上学的路线去找小女孩，看到自己的小女儿一个人走在街上，却发现每次闪电时，她都停下脚步、抬头往上看、并露出微笑。

失去与拥有
有位企业家在商场上有著惊人的成就。当他在事业达到巅峰的时候，有一天陪同他的父亲，到一家高贵的餐厅用餐，现场有一位琴艺不凡的小提琴手正在为大家演奏。这位企业家在聆赏之余，想起当年自己也曾学过琴，而且几乎为之疯狂，便对他父亲说：「如果我从前好好学琴的话，现在也许就会在这儿演奏了。「是呀，孩子，」他父亲回答，「不过那样的话，你现在就不会在这儿用餐了。」
【心得】我们常为失去的机会或成就而嗟叹，但往往忘了为现在所拥有的感恩。
知道自己「有限」的聪明
有一个聪明的男孩，有一天妈妈带著他到杂货店去买东西，老板看到这个可爱的小孩，就打开一罐糖果，要小男孩自己拿一把糖果。但是这个男孩却没有任何的动作。几次的邀请之后，老板亲自抓了一大把糖果放进他的口袋中。回到家中，母亲很好奇的问小男孩，为什么没有自己去抓糖果而要老板抓呢？小男孩回答得很妙：「因为我的手比较小呀！而老板的手比较大，所以他拿的一定比我拿的多很多！」
【心得】这是孩子知道自己的有限，而更重要的知道借助别人的优势，这是一种谦卑，更是一种智慧。
表演大师
有一位表演大师上场前,他的弟子告诉他鞋带松了。大师点头致谢,蹲下来仔细系好。等到弟子转身后,又蹲下来将鞋带解松。
有个旁观者看到了这一切,不解地问: "大师,您为什么又要将鞋带解松呢?"
大师回答道:"因为我饰演的是一位劳累的旅者,长途跋涉让他的鞋事松开,可以通过这个细节表现他的劳累憔悴."
"那你为什么不直接告诉你的弟子呢?"
"他能细心地发现我的鞋带松了,并且热心地告诉我,我一定要保护他这种热情的积极性,及时地给他鼓励,至于为什么要将鞋带解开,将来会有更多的机会教他表演,可以下一次再说啊。"

The Old Cat
An old woman had a cat. The cat was very old; she could not run quickly, and she could not bite, because she was so old. One day the old cat saw a mouse; she jumped and caught the mouse. But she could not bite it; so the mouse got out of her mouth and ran away, because the cat could not bite it.
Then the old woman became very angry because the cat had not killed the mouse. She began to hit the cat. The cat said, "Do not hit your old servant. I have worked for you for many years, and I would work for you still, but I am too old. Do not be unkind to the old, but remember what good work the old did when they were young."
老猫

A man was going to the house of some rich person. As he went along the road, he saw a box of good apples at the side of the road. He said, "I do not want to eat those apples; for the rich man will give me much food; he will give me very nice food to eat." Then he took the apples and threw them away into the dust.
He went on and came to a river. The river had become very big; so he could not go over it. He waited for some time; then he said, "I cannot go to the rich man's house today, for I cannot get over the river."
He began to go home. He had eaten no food that day. He began to want food. He came to the apples, and he was glad to take them out of the dust and eat them.
Do not throw good things away; you may be glad to have them at some other time.

The City Mouse and the Country Mouse
Once there were two mice. They were friends. One mouse lived in the country; the other mouse lived in the city. After many years the Country mouse saw the City mouse; he said, "Do come and see me at my house in the country." So the City mouse went. The City mouse said, "This food is not good, and your house is not good. Why do you live in a hole in the fieldYou should come and live in the city. You would live in a nice house made of stone. You would have nice food to eat. You must come and see me at my house in the city."
The Country mouse went to the house of the City mouse. It was a very good house. Nice food was set ready for them to eat. But just as they began to eat they heard a great noise. The City mouse cried, " Run! Run! The cat is coming!" They ran away quickly and hid.
After some time they came out. When they came out, the Country mouse said, "I do not like living in the city. I like living in my hole in the field. For it is nicer to be poor and happy, than to be rich and afraid."
城里老鼠和乡下老鼠

Wishing to encourage her young son’s progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the “audience and walked down the aisle to greet her.
Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked“NO ADMITTANCE.” When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing.
Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.”
At that moment , the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy’s ear, “Don’t quit. Keep playing,”
Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling a bass (低音) part. Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child and he added a running obbligato (伴奏). Together, the o1d master and the young novice changed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was attracted completely.
What we can achieve on our own is hardly noteworthy (引入注意的). We try our best, but the results aren’ t exactly graceful flowing music. But with the hand of the Master, our life’s work truly can be beautiful. Next time you set out to complete great things, listen carefully. You can hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your ear, “Don’t quit. Keep playing. “

我们靠自己的努力得来的一切也许并不引人注意。我们拼尽全力，却弹不出最和谐的音符。但是，大师用他的双手使我们生命的作品变得更加生动完美。下次，当你准备要完成一项伟大的作品时，仔细聆听，你会听到大师轻轻在你耳边说：“不要停，继续弹下去。”
